We always try to use the biggest mechanical head we can find when shooting the crossbow. No way would I want the kids shooting a smaller fixed head. Those big mechanicals zip right through them. We are just trying to slow the arrow down after impact! Mostly we shoot the 1 3/4" Spitfires. They are an awesome head.
And it's no secret on here, but Slick Tricks would be my last choice for a fixed head. Lots of better options. If you just HAVE to use ST's, make sure you have the contact info for a good deer dog guy.
