I had my sights set on the rare and elusive whitetail doe standing facing me at 20 yards. The axis strolled in and fed broadside while I waited on the doe to turn. I checked my phone and realized legal shooting light had just passed for the whitetail. The axis paid the price.

He's going to eat well.

I keep forgetting any this thread.

Dane and I are in "Garcedar", the Xenek tent where I shot my axis the other night. The axis are sneaking into the field at about 500 yards. I'm not sure they'll make it here in time but this is sorta their normal thing.

Kelsey is at Mighty Buck. Colette is in Bomb Shelter South. Les is in a game tamer at the Garcia stand.

Axis really flowing out into the open now. Not sure that group has enough time to get to us.

Couple axis and wt at 175 yards headed our way... Sorta

Didn't come together. Still an enjoyable hunt with my boy. We saw a lot of animals. Everyone else was blanked. Les, Colette and Kelsey had minimal action. Craziest deer season ever.
