It depends on how thick it is. A 15' in thick stuff will load a 100+ hp up. In light stuff you can get away with 70-80hp. There is a lot of difference in the cooling on these new tractors too. Are you trying to shred all day in Aug or Feb... big difference there too.

Bush hog makes a great 10' flat deck that is really reliable. A lot less moving parts.

I second this I have a 10’ modern ag, great shredders, consider when purchasing!

Another vote for Modern Ag. 5' also so not in the same class but its well built for sure.
