In Search of New home for our Blue Lacy Dog

My wife and I live in Leander, TX and have 2 boys 1 & 2. We no longer have the time to give our Lacy dog Patton the love and attention he deserves and requires. Also Patton has failed to adjust to the kids and has shown some aggression towards them on a couple of occasions. Therefore the best thing we can do for him is find him a new home.
Before the Children Patton and I where able to spend many weekends out on ranches where he thrives. Unfortunately I just do not have the time to get him out the way I used to. Patton is very loyal and a good dog in general just has not adjusted well to our new situation with the kidos. He would be a great companion to any outdoorsmen.

Please feel free to reach out for more info.

That is not a full blooded lacy fyi and definitely not a "blue" lacy. However, just semantics and I am sorry that you have to give him away but I understand. I have a blue lacy and they have a ton of energy. I ended up giving mine away to my parents where he can be happier on the farm with freedom to roam, work cows, and "get into trouble" with coons, skunks, and hogs.

Congrats on the young family, tough ages right now. I have a 2 and 4 year old. I hope your dog finds a great home!

Hope you have luck finding your dog a new home but a blue lacy he is not. None of the cur dog breeds have ears that stand up. Once again good luck.

My mistake on calling him a Blue Lacy... I adopted him and that's what I was told he is. I looked at the national lacy dog association page and he looked just like some of the Lacys with red coloring but never noticed the ears... definitely not a Lacy.

Although "Blue" Lacys do come in a red variety I am mistaken and he definitely not a full blood Lacy. I adopted him and that's what I was told he is and went with it. He looked similar enough to other Lacy dogs when googled but as another member pointed out below the ears are a dead giveaway.

I was not trying to mislead anyone by calling him a Lacy... just lack of knowledge.

No worries on you calling him a Blue Lacy. Adoption centers / rescues call dogs this because it helps get them to new homes. Just like they over use "Lab Mix"

How old is he? What is his energy level? What kind of training does he have? How much does he weigh or how tall is he?
