    Adding a livescope questions

Adding a livescope with new Garmin uhd 93 sv. I already have a hummingbird SI /DI I use while under motor. The 93 sv was actually cheaper with an SI/DI transducer. Livescope transducer will be mounted on the starboard side of the trolling motor. I do not see the value of running the new SI transducer to the back of the boat. I could

    1. put the new transducer back in the box and store it for the next 15 years - as I tend to do.

    2. put the new transducer on the bottom of the trolling motor using the same hose clamp.

I am leaning towards #1 as 2 transducer cables coming up the shaft (external with tie wraps) of a MG Xi3 already sounds like a rodeo plus effort involved in switching off one transducer and switching on the other.
I would like to hear some experienced opinions. I fish mainly crappie. I know I could spend another 500 and get another garmin unit to replace the hummingbird and network them but, I do not really want to part with that extra cash or add complexity. For Pete's sake it is a homemade jon boat.

Heck I’ve got 3 different units. Lowrance, hummingbird and garmin. Garmin is dedicated live scope only. Best way to keep it I think

When I add crappie TV that will be what I do.

I have two transducers on the transom, lowrance and bird

I just purchased the same deal. I am leaning to keeping my hummingbird on the console with dedicated SI and DI and the garmin up front and only dedicated to livescope. Prolly sell the garmin transducer or box it in case I change my mind later on down the road.

My Garmins are just for Livescope. I have Lowrance HDS for SI and mapping on the console and bow. I buy my graphs without the transducer but if I had one I would sell it!

                Congrats on the new toy!

You might be able to get $80 to $100 selling the transducer if it's the gt54. Gt56 is worth a lot more. $80 will buy a lot of minnows!
