    Going to the river

We are going to the river and I need to find one of them coolers that float so we make sure we don't go thirsty. I looked at some but I'm not for sure how tough they are so if you have one that you would recommend or if you have an idea on how to make a homemade one then let me know. thanks

Take a standard cooler and tie it into a tube. That is what I always do.

I agree, regular cooler. Then you can take the money you were going to spend on another cooler and sink it into your "refreshment" fund.

get a tube that is a little smaller than the cooler and inflate it once you get it stretched around the cooler

BTW - Make sure to put a bungee around the cooler to keep it closed in case it tumps over going over rapids. Nothing wors than loosing the loot at the first rapids and be drinkless the whole way (yes, experience talking).

I take one of the big water buckets for our horses, they fit perfectly in a tube, and will hold about 50 or 60 cans.

If you are renting your tube get one with the bottom in it.

Depending on where you are floating, I think the bungee strap, or a means to latch it shut are required now by law. That might be through New Braunfels proper but I think I remember reading that while I was researching the same topic.
