    USB Port Locked...

Company blocked the use of USB devices on our computers, is there a trick to unlock them?

Alot of my go to items are on USB sticks.

Load them in a google drive or cloud based system

        Is the hard drive encrypted?

For me to use a USB drive, I have to encrypt it first.

So you need USB to perform work duties?

IT and admin should be able to work something out for you to use USB devices you need or give you a solution that is acceptable for the company

I wouldn't do it without authorization.

You can think about it, but don't do it.

I had to request a waiver to use mine. I have to save files to a drive to mail from time to time so I needed it. Plus I have a 1 terabyte backup drive that I backup to daily and also to the cloud.

Kinda vague. What is your goal here? Personal or business? My company blocks a lot. If I need it for work I just ask.

Since I have 3 different work computers and my personal MacBook that I occasionally have to use to access work stuff if I forgot my laptop at my office, I use Microsoft One drive. Better than carrying around USB drives that could potentially get lost anyway.
