It is a stupid rule and not based on science. Everyone was worried about melting ice and all that crap. The supposed scientist figured polar bear numbers would plummet. The most recent counts had numbers up quite a bit. I also know that once our government bans something it is almost impossible to bring it back. Heck, look at how hard it has been to open up grizzly hunting. I bet most Americans would be ****** if some other country told us what to do with our wildlife and it’s management.
Any Canadian members on TBH? Maybe we can arrange the ultimate TBH express? Pack so much stuff in a uhaul that they'll never notice the polar bear.
    : )

With the stupidity of the government right now, just identify it as a black bear and bring it on it. If men can have babies, then Polar bears can be Black bears.

What do they use to make artificial polar bears?
Some kind of synthetic? Some other bear bleached?

If you can't bring the fur, and I am guessing the skull either, what do they do with them? Natives use them?

Pretty dumb laws that keep you from bringing a legally taken critter of any kind home.
Makes way more sense to kill something and toss it

I didn’t take any pics of that side specifically because it’s smaller. I’ll post the two after the head was caped out.

All I can think about is the scene from Roadhouse. "A Polar Bear fell on me!"

I know it’s maybe not the caliber of ram you set out for, but a legal ram in that country is an accomplishment to any hunter and I hope you display him with pride like your other amazing mounts.

I look forward to the write ups for the next adventure after Ibex with the Mrs and the Polar Bear should be EPIC.

Since you can’t bring the polar bear back, what are you going to do? Do you just have the hide tanned there and keep the skull and hide in Canada hoping for a law change in the US?

I have not made a final decision on what to do if I kill the polar bear. I have been looking at a taxidermist that does replicas(Kanati). They are **** good and I want a white bear in the house. I have zero faith polar bear will ever become importable. Maybe a very slim chance that bears killed before the ban get home. I’m happy with an awesome experience and pics. I put it off for a while because I couldn’t imagine not bringing the trophy home. I have lots of mounts at home and for me hunting is about the adventure. I’ll figure more out as it gets closer.
