Quanah/Childress dove opener?

We are off 287 about 2 miles between Childress and Quanah. No birds right now. Anybody else in that area seeing much?

I was north of you a bit over the Red River hunting south of Gould, OK on the opener and we had a lot. Driving back however, I didn't see many birds. Just one or two here and there. This was on Saturday morning.

We were covered up in Wichita Falls. Never seen it so good.

We were further north near the town of Panhandle and it was the worst dove hunt I’ve ever been on up there, and we’ve hunted up there for 30 years. Not sure what the deal was. Just weren’t seeing birds around like normal.

I can also vouch that Wichita Falls area has been better than normal so far this season for dove.

They were flying pretty good in Goodlett this past weekend. Best spot was near water

We hunted opening day off of 1033 North down on the river and 2 of us standing by the ranger knocked down 13 birds in about an hour. It was real slow but we might have been more focused on the Miller lite.

My buddy hunts up there just west of Childress off 287 they did pretty well this passed weekend limit every day. Our place of 680 by the river doesnt have many birds at all right now.
