Renting House Boat on Lake Ouachita, Arkansas?

Any one rented the nicer 54’-75’ house boats on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas for a family vacation?

Looks like most of them run $2800-$4000 for a 5 days/4 nights plus fuel used.

Thinking of doing this next summer.

    Pic for attention.

My neighbor is there with his friends right now. They rented this one. I’ll ask him about it when he gets back.

Just read this on one website. Wouldn’t pay that much to be driven to an island for a stay. I would want to wander around and see the lake.

I’d be looking for somewhere different if they won’t let you drive it. Also why are they pretty much beaching these in those pics. We did one years ago with our family and it was a blast. Anchored up in secluded cove and had boats and jet skis to run around in.

I've done Powell once and we talked about these when we still had a wakeboard boat. Once we have big(er) boat to run people around in we'll do it....

Based solely on our AZ trip I wouldn't mind somebody driving. It was the only stressful part and I wasn't even the one driving. We didn't move all week nor did we feel the need.

I did for me and my wife 25 anniversary and it was a blast. Its a must do for everyone at least once. I think ours was a 65 footer.

                      I would not like this!

on that lake you cannot move on the water at night and you cannot anchor in the lake. That was my experience.
