Ok call me stupid , I haven’t bought a newspaper in probably 15-18 years but when I did it was $1.75 and the classifieds were full of hunting and fishing Adds/leases . I went this morning and got a paper from the corner store hoping to find a place around San Antonio or surrounding area that my son and I could maybe find an opening for this evening, now the paper is $4.00 and the hunting and fishing section consist of two ads 🤦*♂️. Does anyone in the area know of or have any numbers I could call to check on availability ?

Update to yesterday’s hunt-
We ended up going with 210 dove hunting out of San Antonio because it was $10 a gun cheaper and was located down by apple white rd and figured there would be plenty of city birds ( wrong ) lol. We did see around 150 to 200 birds but I’m not sure I could of reached them with my 7STW lol they were big groups flying up in the ozone and we never fired a shot lol . On the bright side I did get to spend some quality time with my son and fondle our shotguns for a few hours and that was well worth the $120 price of admission ��. Next week we will try the hunt in Marion as there is more agricultural fields around there and maybe some birds not needing oxygen masks.Comment

Check out Texas Dove Hunter Association. They have a whole selection of day hunt outfitters and lease’s. If you have Facebook there several sites on dove hunting outfittersComment

Bader Ranch in Hondo is a great place to go. We hunt there last year and had back to back days of nearly 150 birds.Comment
