I have one in my Tacoma and like it...if someone really wants to get in there I'm sure they could, but it wouldn't be real quick and easy

How does it attach to the console?

If someone wants into it they will destroy your console. It won’t be easy. All the bolts are inside the side. They would have to pry open the sides. How easy it would be depends on the truck and console design. On my F250 I don’t see it being that easy the way it is designed.

They are awesome. Get the dial combo and not the keyed one. They have models to fit specific trucks so they fit perfectly.

          I wouldn't own a truck without one.

I have the console vault and to date haven't had any issues. My truck has been broken into and the dirtbags left the vault untouched and unharmed. Given enough time it could definitely be breached, but in most cases vehicle break-ins are of the smash and grab variety.

Mine just used the same mounting holes as the console if I remember right...been a while. Had to take top off console, which was the hardest part, take out some bolts, insert safe and bolt it back down. Not a hard job

I have one in my truck. Truck was broken into in Plano at my daughters softball tournament. They tried to pry it open and couldn't. Like some have said I am sure with enough time someone could break into it, but it definitely stop the quick smash and grab.

I have one installed by Ford on my 2017 F250. Like mentioned, it's not impenetrable, but it will definitely slow down the majority of thieves to the point that they will move on. Here's mine:

I've looked at the Lock'er down safes. I am considering getting one.

We took the safe out of my fiancés 4Runner and it used the same bolts that hold center console down.

This is the same one I installed in my F250. It has a tri fold piece that goes inside and then the top goes in. You open the 2 sides of the trifold and they have self tap screws that go in the side. The top is wedged in and held in place by the sides and the rest of the frame of the console. There are several instal videos on these on YouTube.
