There are monsters out there. They are not afraid to swim the ditch when they get the urge. We use to see them a lot when there is a cold, North wind. They will go to the other side of the dunes to get out of the wind.Comment

I have seen multiple nice bucks out there. Every time I am on or near the island I watch for them, mainly early morning late afternoon. The last time we went to Bird Island Basin, I counted something like 17, that I could see from our camping spot. There were a couple of good bucks in there.Comment

Be some pretty tough hunts in that sand. But might be worth it for something like these. I’ve seen some decent ones out there but none of this caliber. I’ve also seen a few near Laguna Shores in the Bluff.Comment

I'll never forget seeing my first deer on the island. They get to be big and old out there for sure. I wish they'd do a draw hunt there. I'd put in for it.Comment
