    Need New Welder

My old welder just crapped out on me.

What would you guys recommend for a mig welder wire feed, 110v?
I don’t weld a lot and need something simple. I haven’t used gas yet, just flux core
I would like to try tig and aluminum some day.
    What’s a good easy machine?

I was looking at this one at Harbor Freight

I have a pretty good little Lincoln box I bought on marketplace for $200. It's not as nice as my Hobart rig, but half the weight and way cheaper

I've been impressed with my little HF titanium welders. Definitely get the extended warranty if you buy one.

In for this. My little 110v welder works, but i'm ready to move up to the next level. Just not in a place where i can run 220v yet.

Tractor supply has a Hobart Handler 140 on sale for $529. I’d take it all day over any of those Chinese machines. Also don’t be afraid of looking at the used market. If you can swing the extra cost, I would recommend looking for a dual voltage machine, so you can also run it on 220 if you ever have the need.

Edit: I missed the tig part of the OP. Just FYI, you won’t be able to tig aluminum with that harbor freight machine you posted as it is a DC only machine. Also looks it’s just going to be lift-arc tig.

I have the Hobart Handler 140. It's a handy machine. I bought it off the Hobart website under their refurbished products with a pretty good discount.

I’ve had a Vulcan OmniPro 210 since 2017. It’s a seriously capable little machine and probably as inexpensive as you’ll find to do what the future you wants to do.

Stic, mig (flux core and gas), tig and does a surprisingly good job on aluminum with the Vulcan aluminum wire feed gun.

I bought an Eastwood 180 amp mig welder not too long ago and man it works great, I paid about $650 brand new also included an extra spool gun to weld aluminum. The quality of everything is just as good as the Lincoln180 mig welder. I use both all the time & have no complaints.

                          which plasma do you have?

I see they have one for under 300 bucks.

I don't think it has been mentioned, but the litte Forney 120v 140 amp unit is really nice. I bought one last year for around $200.00 at our hardware store. I keep it with my gas machine so I can plug it in and use it for thin metal work, and it has done well.
