Screw the point thing I ordered me a 1-5/8 I think it was auger on Amazon. I probe for the tunnel then run that auger in with my drill. That whole trying to woller out a whole with that plastic thing is just a reason to cuss more than I already do.

Well with our soil here it’s super easy. I can see it being a pain to go down 7-10” in some different soil.

I'm on the fence about ordering this. Tried a spike style already and never killed anything. In my St. Augustine it's sometimes hard to really see defined tunnels. Been using the pellets and just kind of carpet bombing them, inserting anywhere near a mound that is soft and could possibly be a tunnel. Seems to help but then another spot pops up. I had another thread about this not long ago.

We run 4 of them continually.
I bet we've caught close to 200 in the last 3 years.
Gophers that is.

My male tabby cat cat is hell on moles. We dont have gophers though. I’d think he’d whip them too, but really no clue. Grew up with my great grandma flooding their holes and killing them with baseball bats or broken shovel poles.

I think i might try this method and sit on the porch with a beer and my thermal and wait to see them come above ground. then pick them off with a suppressed 22
