    Browning camera external battery question

I have a couple of browning cameras that I love but have broken battery trays. Before I spend $20 per tray, can I hook up external battery without having batteries in the unit?

I dont think ive used the browning camera, but all other cameras I've ever used you needed to remove the internal batteries to properly use an external battery pack. reason is dead internal batteries will kill your external battery pack pretty quick. i think some of the newer cameras separate the circuits so that doesn't happen so you can use both.

I'd recommend something like the Reaktor solar panel/battery pack. No internal batteries needed in the camera.

I think they have an external battery port. Get the correct size male plug and wire it up with a 12volt battery & solar panel just like a deer feeder.

Correct. This is what I’m planning on doing, but some cameras will not allow this to happen without there being batteries in the camera while hooked to external battery.

My Brownings don't have an external port, so check that first.
