Cracks aren’t hard to repair and replacement forends are not too hard to find on eBay, Numrich, etc.

Arts Gun shop has the rebuild kits that has the springs and friction ring sets.
    That’s good info !

I am in possession of my grandfathers model 11, 12 gauge. I have often wondered how many ducks he killed with it.

Got a 12 and a 16 gauge here. The 12 was my go to for about 5 seasons till it literally fell apart in the field, would love to build it back together. The 16 was one of the fancier “sportsman” models with a pheasant and duck engraved. Also came stock with a plug too. Really neat guns, just wish 16 gauge shells weren’t so stinkin’ expensive

Would this work on the model 11? https://artsgunshop.com/product/a5-2...4-rebuild-kit/

The one the kid got does jam on occasion

I’m not sure if that will work but Art’s can tell you and the are helpful.

The friction ring assembly can be modified to suit the load you are shooting,

If you are getting failures to eject or load the next shell from the magazine, your gun may be setup for heavy-loads.

Does it have the hunting scenes engraved on the receiver ? Pointing dog & flushing pheasant on one side and a flying duck on the other ? What choke is it ?

nope, no etching on the receiver and the choke is a little tiny fixed choke on the end.

My dad had one. I think it had a 26" barrel, the above mentioned engraving and an Improved Cylinder (IC) choke. But I don't think his had the checkering on the pistol grip. Pretty sure it was checkered on the foregrip. He used it as a quail gun in the 70's. My brother wound up with it when Dad passed. I got the Model 12. I'd buy a Model 11 if I could find one just like his.
