Gravity Feed Tube ?

Added a game winner 3-way feed tube to a feeder I plan to setup on my property
For you guys that use these about what height from ground to feed opening approximately for deer to access but avoid hogs?

40-42" to bottom of spout.

I would go 35 inches. Mine is at 40 and pretty much all my deer have to strain their heads up to get feed out. The downside at that height is that its now a coon jungle gym.

Is that more because they can gain access & scoop it out ?
It appears robust enough not to be able to destroy it at least that’s my first impression

I was aware of that when I put mine together. I welded mine to the drum and used several stich welds for the various sections on the downspout. I just hope it buys me time until I can build something sturdier.

I welded to bottom of the drum and added struts that bolt to extra tabs I welded to the OD of the drum. Extra support definitely needed for these flimsy feed tubes…

I think mine were about 36" when I used one like that. The only way to keep hogs out is put up a fence.
