Had to clear a downed tree yesterday that was blocking the pasture road after getting to my lease. Luckily, I had a chain and my chainsaw. Landowner had sold all cows and grass was eaten down pretty good. I shred the pasture roads every year and a few shooting lanes, but I`m going to pass this year due to dry conditions and fear of starting a fire. Weed eater will have to do I guess. Not really going to be a problem this year though, like other years. Spent over an hour trimming mesquites back. I can`t believe how much they grow even in a drought year. Stock tank was completely dry. Hopefully a much bigger tank that is 1/2 mile away on neighbor's property still has water. The person who has the water will have the deer this year.
