Drank a beer with DAC one night in Plano. He was very nice to me and my wife.

I drank whiskey with him on his tour bus back around 1992. Couldn’t have been any nicer. He looked like death warmed over even back then. I can’t believe the man is still alive. Definitely one of the few remaining legit “outlaw country” artists.

Guys on today’s country music scene will get a speeding ticket in their Prius and call themselves an outlaw.

Every once in a while, me and Alecia would get hotel room somewhere close just to get out of the house. We had just had dinner and were sitting on a bench in front of the hotel just enjoying the evening. Heard the door open and DAC and another guy came walking out. He came over and said hi and asked if I would like a beer. I said yes and he told the other guy to go get one for us. He was very pleasant and polite and I enjoyed talking to him. He was actually shocked that I knew who he was. By the way, the OG by Loggins is the best.

Some of you will know these fellas...

I nominate Jackopierce, although I love the original, sure is a pretty song either way.

And my favorite big city to visit!
