Anyone had an aermotor rebuilt in Houston-Ish area?

Hey y’all. Want to get my old aermotor rebuilt. I’m in Houston but can take it where ever. Any of y’all have any experience?

FYI I found out the last place you want to bump into a yellow jacket nest is at the top of a windmill tower. Those MFers stung me the whole way down. It sucked.

To help you alleviate the pain you experienced, those were only paper wasps (guinea wasps), not yellow jackets. Yellow jackets only build their nests in the ground, and are only 1/2 the size with 2X the pain.
Need to kill them before trying to re-install the motor.

Is it a 602 or 702? You looking to get the bearings re-poured?

I thought it was a 602 but looking at the parts diagram the brake looks different. I got a few pictures before the “paper wasps” started to hand me my behind but they aren’t all that good. The brake arm had a786 cast into it which looks to be a 602 part but I dunno. It all kind of happened sort of fast up there.

You might check with Conway welding service in Comanche Texas. He used to work on windmills.

Hey Ryan. I can rebuild that, if it’s rebuildable. Looks like an early 602.
