    Fixed Blade Tuning Help

I have e em shooting from 40-90 yards in preparation for an antelope hunt. Now is dialed in with field tips. I’m swapping to a fixed blade this year for the extra penetration a longer distances. I’m between the QAD exodus and Ramcat diamondback, both 100gr.

The Exodus hits about 4”high at 40 and about 6” high at 80

Ramcat hits 4” low at 40 and about 6” low at 80

What can I do to correct this issues. Considering just re sighting the bow at this point.

Shoot a mechanical…. Kidding not kidding

See if you can fix it by barely moving the rest down for exodus and up for ramcat. And I mean barely

Walk back tuning until it's hitting dead on at 20-30 yards.

I’m surprised you are seeing that with the Exodus. I shot all my arrows with the broadhead. 3 were off quite a bit 2 were off about 2” and the rest were pretty much dead on.

I would suggest stripping your fletching and bare shaft nock tuning your arrows. I think if I did that all of mine would be dead on

You can try bigger fletchings on your arrows
Fixed blade broad head will steer your arrows.
Try bigger fletching it will give you more cushion on your tuning. Your arrows will group better

Good point, you running helical on your setup? Can try more helical, longer vanes, more vanes, or high profile and see if it helps

Swung by the bow shop today, adjusted the rest and re-sighted in the field tips. Broadheads followed suit, hitting good now.
