a local church got almost $500k. they're in such financial distress from covid that they started a huge expansion project a year ago.
looking up my competitors it looks like all of them took in $100-250k (these are all small business with maybe a dozen total employees each) and across the board their business increased 30-50% during covid.
We got $6k bc we were afraid we were going to have to close down due to not being an "essential business". My wife and I had not started taking salaries yet so we were eligible for very little based on having 3 part time employees then. I actually kept the money in a savings account so we could pay it back when needed and then the bank told me we didn't have to pay it back bc of the size of the loan.
