Last year around Thanksgiving, I watched the buck on the left get into by far the longest and most violent fight I've ever seen, with an old 8 point. When it finally broke up, I watched him wonder off onto the neighbors place and he had what looked like a big piece of lip and skin hanging off and was bleeding a lot. I figured with damage to his mouth like that he'd be done for. I can't believe it healed up. He looked the exact same last year just very pencil horned and smaller on his good side. Hopefully one of my girls can get him early this bow season.

The six is no doubt offspring of a big six we had running around for several years and couldn't kill. He finally slipped up and I shot him in 2020. We have another six showing up this year that's a little bigger than this one.

With being one buck counties up here, it's hard for me to want to cull anything myself. Luckily I've got a trio of bloodthirsty daughters and friends with kiddos that are getting old enough to hunt.
