    Old chevy square body question

My old 81 has 16.5 wheels and I've been struggling to find a good cheap replacement tire.

Anyone have a good lead for a 33x12.5x16.5 tire?

Other options are buy new wheels at 16 inch and go that route but I want to keep the original hubcaps I don't know if they make new steel wheels that will fit my oem old school caps

Not sure if they carry wheels but check LMC truck. That's who I used in high school to restore my 78 Ford

There are several square body groups on FB marketplace. I use my wife's FB page to keep up with square body stuff.

Love them square bodies. Sure wish I had my dad's old blue.

High school? Restore a '78 Ford? I bought a '78 F150 right off the lot brand new. You're making me feel old.

Man, that truck brings back some memories. My first truck was an '81 stepside. What I wouldn't give to be able to get that one back.

This right here. I am working on an '84 and have found tons of parts from Facebook groups.

Summit racing and 4wheelparts carry 16.5 tires. You might get lucky finding some used tires on FB. Love the truck.

                  I didn't realize they still made a stepside 3/4 ton in '81!

You can still get Big Fat Girls (BF Goodrich) in 16.5", and that old truck deserves some.

Super swamper makes a 33x12.5x16.5 that I bought fir mine last year. Dang good looking tires and the price wasnt bad when I bought mine. I cant recall the shop but a place in Houston is who I ordered them through.

If you can go to a 37" you can get Humvee tires cheap.

Goodyear Wrangler MTs or BF Goodrich Baja T/As.
