Boat props Turning Point vs Solas vs Powertech

Thought I’d tap into your expertise before wasting a bunch of time and money on props. I think I understand the basics, and it looks like Turning Point makes most everyone happy and has a pretty good selection for me to choose from. Powertech seems to be the gold standard but thought I’d get close before making the investment. My current Solas is worse than the banged up stock prop. Anyone have experience with these brands before I start the process?

Not sure what your intended use is, but I've been pleased with the Powetech LFS4 on my new Suzuki 175.

Don't know where you are at, but Baumann Propeller in Houston can build you one or fix your old one. They do great work.

      Have Baumann build you one.

Jack Foreman is fantastic too. Crossroads propellers.

I have run Power Techs and abuse them. Never spin a hub and get 2 rebuilds before replacement.

I have always ran a Powertech and never had a single issue.

Another thing to do is write down all your numbers. Call Power Tech and tell them what you are getting WOT etc. then decide what you want out of a prop. Hole shot- speed- do you need reverse power- etc. my Powertech Flats prop has very little reverse but that is fine for my applications

I used to deal with Bill at PT 20 or more years ago! That dude was a boat wizard! Never realized how popular they were till I moved away from NW La.
