    They are Cottonmouths. In the full size pics you can see the vertically eliptical pupils especially the post mortem shots I took. I've hunted snakes for 32 years and I know at a distance what most people think are cottonmouths, are normally diamondback watersnakes, broadbanded watersnakes, yellowbelly watersnakes, etc. all of which are harmless. Those in the pics, are not harmless.
