Not sure about places to stay but my great grandmother lives on that lake and me and her have spent many a nights trolling from dock to dock at night catching hybrids and stripers, great way to beat the heat and entertain the kiddos if you can rent a boat or have one! The dam always holds fish as well! Good luck

Really not many places to stay on the lake unless you find an Airbnb. As Far as places to stay close to Inks, Big Chief is really nice with several nice amenities and cabins

We've stayed at Canyon Of the Eagles Resort on Lake Buchanan. We have State Park passes so we go to Inks Lake State park a couple times during the day. There's a lot to do in the area.
        Longhorn Cavern
        Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery
Everytime we pased a view of that Castle place (I forget what it's called) we had to stop to look
Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls
        I know I'm missing a lot

Used to go to Inks Lake State park all the time as a kid. They have some nice little cabins that you can rent out in the park. Other then that there isn't many places to stay at around the lake unless someone runs and Air BnB out of a lake house, you'd have to move closer to Kingsland or Burnet to possibly find some better housing accommodations.

Inks lake only has one public access point through the state park. It is one of the busiest parks in the state as well. If you can get a cabin in the state park that would be great, but other than that it would be camping at Rockaway camp ground or airbnb/vrbo. LBJ has Heart of Texas lodge or Log Country, they are both nice and only a short drive to Inks if thats the lake you want to play on. Kingsland/granite shoals has a ton of cool rentals on the wide part of LBJ that could be fun as well. Good luck and hope you find some place to stay. Hoover Valley Store is great food in the area, check it out if you go.
