1994 gmc v6 a/c was working great then all the sudden it started blowing warm for a second than cold for a second about 10 times and then that was that a/c quit on me. the compressor is not kicking on when i press the a/c on button checked the fuse visually and with test light its all working right. then i went to the connection on top of the compressor and its not gettin power to their. so i guess that kinda answers my problem. i guess its in the wire between the connection and fuse plug. this might all sound way off so bare with need some answers or suggestions. and yes it is full on free on. any help wouldbegreat thanks.

Sounds low on freon. There is a low pressure switch on accumulator, 2wire harness, that you can disconnect and jump to make compressor come on. If it is not low on freon, that switch/relay may be bad as well. I would try to jump the switch first to make sure the compressor isn't bad. Usually if it is low enough on freon to shut compressor down, you will need 2 cans of freon to charge it back up.

Low pressure switch is out. Costs about $10-15 at O'Reilly and 2 minutes to change it. It's located on the condenser (I think that's what it's called - The silver canister mounted to the firewall that drips water when you run the a/c). There's a wiring harness with 2 wires connected to it that you can connect together to test it. If you short these 2 wires together, the compressor will come on and you'll have cold air. If the compressor comes on and you don't have cold air, you're low on freon.
