Guess what time it is
Glad you are getting one! They are easier than years before.
Had one in 2020… piece of cake. Two 16 oz bottles of “juice” mixed with 16 oz of cold water. One at 6pm and one at 3pm. Tasted like a grape pedialyte. Slam em like a beer or Gatorade on a hot day. Stomach is empty from fasting so there was plenty of room. Spent a lot of time at the toilet but after the first 3 it’s like a water faucet so nothing but a release. [emoji23]. After 11pm the first round was about done. Slept till three for round two. Again nothing but water faucet.[emoji41]. Arrival at 7am, on the table and headed to the room by 8.. waking up around 9-930 if I remember correctly. Best nap I ever had … lol… One piece of advice. Do not trust a fart there are none in the prep..[emoji23]
Everybody needs to get them. Lost my middle brother to colon cancer at 51.

Never trust a fart! I literally told my wife the same thing. She asked how it was going and I told her, do you remember the movie the bucket list? Jack Nicholson tells Morgan Freeman there are a few things ha you learn when you are old. Never waste a hard … and never trust a fart. I’m living by that second piece of advice right now. Ha

Good to hear that you had it done GH....I think I put it off until I had to have one for my colon perforation (at 51 as well coincidentally) because of the stories I heard folks tell about the prep and the thought of a scope going up there and being violated.....
It was so ridiculously easily except some minor inconveniences, that I wish myself and my brothers would have started at 40-45 and maybe caught Jeremy's earlier......I try to push all my friends this age to do so. I have a few that are some hard-headed mofos or scaredy cats (I don't know which)...that still haven't.

My mom is a colon cancer survivor, and like Chew, caught it by accident. She's been out of the woods since November 2003! I've had two colonoscopies in the past 14 years and hope everybody takes it serious. Colon cancer caught early is very beatable, mom's doctor said.
On a lighter note: The last one I had was about 5 years ago and as I was coming to in the recovery room I noticed a nurse walking toward me. As she's coming into focus I swear she looked just like Jennifer Aniston. Still groggy, I said, "Oh, wow, my nurse is Jennifer Aniston?"
She blushed, beamed a smile and said, "Aw, you're so sweet!" As she said that I noticed she was doing something at my waist. I looked down and saw that my hospital gown had shifted to the side and my meat & veggies were on full display! She pulled the gown around to cover me up and was looking at my junk all the while. We made eye contact and that's my story about a very tender moment I had with the great Jennifer Aniston. I told my wife and she said I was stupid. Now I just remind her to stay on her "A" game because Jennifer Aniston is hot for me.

What a bunch of slackers....two years ago I had my normal colonoscopy. Doctor found a polyp that concerned him but didn't remove- referred me to another doctor in Shreveport. Went to see him but said he wanted to see himself so he could make a plan on what needed to be done...so I cleansed again. He came up with a plan and scheduled surgery so I did my third cleanse in five weeks. It was cancerous but doc said it was isolated. Have had many follow ups with him and so far have stayed clean.

I did one a couple years ago, finally. I'd been dreading it, after several friends' horror stories about the experience. But it wasn't bad at all. I just kept my phone with me as I stayed close to the throne. Watched a couple movies and a bunch of hunting videos.
Got a clean report from the doc, and he said come back in 10 years for round 2.

I had my first one at 52. They found cancer but couldn't tell what stage until they removed it, scariest 3 weeks of my life was waiting. I was really lucky and it was stage 1. They removed 8 inches of my lower colon, no chemo or other treatments. Now all is good, and I only have to go back every 3 years for colonoscopes.
