In my opinion 22-250 would leave you undergunned. Would recommend taking a deer rifle that you’re comfortable shooting at longer distances.
I have had great success with my 22-250, just looking for a long range rifle. I have a 25-06, .270, .243 and .308. I think a 300 win mag is too much. 25-06 and .243 I have not shot yet, need to sight in. I’m real comfortable with my .270, killed over 500 deer with it and my .308.

That’s a nice area for pronghorn.
I would take any of those calibers , except the 22-250 .
Unless the 22-250 has a 1:8 barrel to stabilize some high b.c bullets

1:10 I believe, 26 inch bull barrel. I’m probably going with .270.
Not that you may ever get checked. But the minimal cailber to hunt big game in New Mexico is a 243. I know Jonathan as well he’s a good guy. For is antelope hunts I don’t know a lot about them he’s hunting some country outside of Logan last I heard. I’ve seen some pictures of the bucks he kills. Looks like they do pretty good.

Good to know, like I said, just found out about it, going with a bigger caliber.
Hunt booked and paid for, hopefully get it done. This will be my first guided hunt ever. I’ve guided probably 80-100 hunts, never been on the other side of it. I’m excited. Bought a .243 off of here, mounted the scope and need to sight it in, taking that and my .270.
