Has anyone used one of the HF Apache gun cases for a bow case? The dimensions seem right but I'd prefer some first hand experience. Or a good bow case in the same or less price range ($170).

Kinda like skimping on insurance. Why do it?
That said, when I bought my V3X 29 in February, I couldn’t find an SKB in stock anywhere and I was not going to wait around for them to be back in stock after buying the bow and setting it up to the tune of around 2k. I ended up buying a Case Club case and I have to admit, I’m pretty impressed with it. The case even comes with a perforated metal box that has a rechargeable silica pack in it in order to lessen moisture in case you want to keep your bow in that case for an extended period of time.
The latches also have a secondary locking feature which will keep them from releasing in the event they are bumped when loaded. It really is a very well built case with some nice features, I’m definitely a fan of them after my experience.

Honestly, there’s really nothing I don’t like about that bow.
I decided to look into the V3 series after buying my wife’s Prima I mentioned in my previous post. I needed to drop draw weight due to an old shoulder injury and I was already on the lower end of the draw length of my RX3 Ultra. I didn’t want to drop it lower than the 64 lbs I was drawing so I made the decision to buy myself a new bow and start over after seeing how her Prima performed.
I put a deposit on the V3X, I couldn’t make it to the shop for a week or so because it’s an hour away but they had what I wanted in stock. There was no doubt it was what I was wanted after it sent the 3rd arrow through it.

Too big and bulky for non airline type travel imo….That’s why. [emoji41]. Also took up way too much room in my Polaris Ranger bed for trips too and from the blind in a dusty environment.
Had one for a year and hated it….sold it. I much prefer the Plano SE44 for normal weekend travel. Plus it’s wide enough to keep your quiver on in it. Just remove the foam arrow holders in the top and the clearance is perfect. I bought mine in 2008 after I sold my SKB and it’s held 3 different bows since. I’ve never felt under cased nor have I had any issues with it not being the most expensive heaviest case one can buy. Still going strong making every trip out west.Last edited by Smart; 07-16-2022, 09:14 PM.
