I would like to think I would have done the same thing. But in reality I would have had a seizure myself and sh** myself also. Glad God look after you and you and her pulled through.

Around midnight, my wife grabbed her out of bed and was going to have her sleep in our bed with her. My daughter was not going for that as she would rather sleep on the couch if she is not in her own bed.

Fast forward to 3:40 am and she wakes up screaming bloody murder, I get off the couch and go to get some motrin and she starts to have a seizure. It plays out which seemed like forever but might have been a minute or so. I against everything that I was probably supposed to do pick her up and run outside and start screaming for help as loud as I can as I am checking her vitals. She is not breathing so I start CPR and within a few breaths in, she finally breaks free and coughed up water/mucas and who knows what that was blocking her airways. (All of this happened in what seemed like minutes) I have two first responder neighbors that heard me screaming and came to help right as I got her back on track. Tomball Fire and EMS showed up quickly and took her to TCH in The Woodlands.

This has definitely been a mental struggle for me but glad that she is back to normal. Apparently the dramatic spike in temperature put her body into the seizure to sort of reset as I was told by the doctor.

Glad she is ok. Febrile seizures are hard to witness. Did you do chest compressions or were you giving rescue breaths?

I did do a compressions and when I tilted her head and then pinched her nose and four breaths in (if I remember correctly as I had tunnel vision) that is when she started to gargle so I rolled her to her side and she threw up. I then proceeded to lose it and broke down after that. Luckily my first responder neighbors were there to take over from there.

Great job man, working your own kid and you kept your bearing to move her into recovery position so she could aspirate. God bless you and that baby man.
