i need a radio for my f150, where to get it?

i have a 2014 fx4, the radio has a small display screen that has crapped out like a broken computer monitor. we are trying to hold on the truck for 2 more years so my son can drive it so i would like to put a new radio in it.

i havent had a radio put in a vehicle since i went to circuit city and had a kenwood and some 6x9's put in my '79 SWB in about 1995, where do you guys go? we have a car toys here, will that be as good as any? we have best buy too, if they still do that...

    thanks

Dont do Best Buy. Geek Squad sucks. Cartoys or just order from Crutchfield and pay a little extra to have them connect a factory harness to the radio for you and get the installation kit. Pretty much plug and play. That is what I did. I put an Alpine in my F250 and added a back up camera. It wasn't bad.

Shop Crutchfield. They send a master install sheet and all the tools needed to complete the job. They have 7 day a week tech support if you get stumped. They send adapters to work with the factory harnesses. You may pay a few bucks more, but it is worth it.

thanks fellas. I just worry about breaking the dash pieces trying to remove them, is it not that big of a deal?

Car Toys if you don't want to eff with it. Crutchfield otherwise.

Got this from Crutchfield. 2011 F150. Wireless Apple AirPlay. Have the backup camera as well. Love it and Crutchfield makes it fairly easy and they do have great American customer service with knowledgeable staff that can walk you through anything over the phone.

Definitely crutchfield. About to pick up a touch screen for a 2008 F150.

this is what my dash looks like. i looked at crutchfield and all the radios say dash modifications are necessary. that whole center, black piece from below the ac controls to above the radio screen is all 1 piece.

i may swing it by cartoys and see what they say, but i appreciate the input fellas.

Its not necessarily a dash modification you are going to replace that entire center piece that has the air conditioning controls, radio controls, screen and such with a new one that has a bigger opening for a bigger screen. It's easy to do.
