Speedy recovery to you Stan!

Had mine done on May 10th. Went smooth. Nerve block and drugs make day 1& 2 a blur. Day 3-7 kinda stunk. One complication was my quad did I not wake up for 2 1/2 weeks. Really made me nervous but it finally did . I am a little behind the curve with quad only firing at about 60%. Walking , driving, etc without a problem . Just can’t step up yet with new knee yet. Getting a little better each day. My suggestions
1) find a very comfy set of shoes you can slip on easy that have a back
2) sleep with a pillow between your knees. Until I did this I basically could not sleep.
3) do your PT , everyday.
4) easy to get discouraged by the end of week one but it turns and the pain goes away sometime in the 2 to 3 week and then it is just a matter of getting everything firing and bending correctly again.
Good luck and I hope yours goes off without a hitch.

It will hurt pretty bad for a week or so, then it gets better every day. Do your PT then keep doing it a home like they say. The more you push it, the better it gets and will be. Had mine 2 years ago and don't even think about it now. Best thing i could have ever done. Get well soon and speedy recovery.

I was about to ask for an update and afraid that was gonna be the case. My mil had both knee replacements done at the same time. At the time she said it was the single worst decision she's ever made in her life.
