Cub Cadet RZT - belt or spindle question

    So....seeking the GS knowledge base.

My RZT 50 needs some attention.

The blades will turn fine..,,until you hit some “tall grass.”

I came back home from overseas....mowed....noticed that...,and my wife said “it’s been doing that.”

Before I take it to the shop, was going to see if you fellas had this happen....and if there’s a way to determine if it’s a belt or spindle issue.

I had to replace the pulleys on my cub cadet a couple of times. They lose the v shape and won't grip the belt

Check the belt and make sure it’s still tight. You can remove the belt tension and turn the blades manually. Make sure they are all spinning free. I have the same mower and have replaced the pulleys on mine

Could be the belt or tensioner. Also check build-up under the deck.

          Thanks guys that commented.

          Took the belt off…

Made sure the pulleys all spun…

          Put on a new belt….

          Seems good to go.
