Man I had the same problem the first time I got a Mac. Took me like 6 hours before I figured it out.

Does take a while to get use to. I never even tried a Mac before purchasing my MacBook Pro. Took me a good while to figure out all the cool stuff you can do. Google is your best friend to find articles about learning OS X. I would have never found things like Quicksilver (best free app for Mac ever) without using Google.

Once you go mac you never go back. Unless you inherit an old junky pc laptop like I'm typing this from and put ubuntu on it simply because MacOS can't be installed on it. My desktop is a Mac Pro and I love that shiny silver tower.

Are you going to be using the Mac to do a lot of video editing or graphic desgin, or will it be more for personal use? The only reason I ask is because three years ago I bought a macbook pro for personal use (at the time I was attracted to the aluminum casing and the larger screen) but I wish that someone would have told me that a regular macbook would have suited my needs perfectly and I could have saved around $500. So if you need the extra performance, by all means go for the Pro, but if you're just looking to get something for personal use I'd say stick with a regular Mac. BTW OS X is great, you'll never want to use a Windows based machine again in your life.

how did you do it? i still haven't figured it out.

any other useful tips? I like "Command T" for opening two browsers at once.

Don't know what he did but you can always just drag the bottom right corner of the browser window to make it any size you want.

Command + Tab = scroll through all running programs by hitting tab over and over.

                              Command + F = search page

Command + Shift + 3 = screen shot of open window saved to desktop

Command + Shift + 4 = Take a screenshot of any size using the mouse.

And Command + T opens a new tab in Firefox, Command + N opens an entire new browser window.
