I am through episode 4 and have been highly disappointed in the show. The book was one of my all time favorites and the show didn't even come close to it's greatness. Katie's character is beyond annoying and the complete change of the storyline is awful IMO.

What makes it worse is that Jack Carr was on Rogan and specifically said that Amazon gave him full creative control and did not ruin the show with woke BS.

The show had potential to be great but missed the mark.

They also didn’t include one of my favorite parts where Reece poses as a grad student to behead the imam that passed info to the enemy. He subsequently posted the head on the pike of the fenced perimeter of the mosque. I suppose that wasn’t inclusive enough for Amazon
Just further proof of how corrupt and manipulative “the system” is. Anyone who has read the books and appreciates the parallels with life today will see with their own eyes and know! It’s not about artistic freedom but rather 100% about controlling the narrative. My fear is someday soon, venting discord in the system on a forum will not be enough and James Reece will need to be brought to life.

I feel and believe that he “allowed” Amazon to alter the series to help open the eyes of those still asleep. By this he exposes the REAL parallels between the books and life today. Kind of a blue pill/red pill if people open their eyes.

Just finished the series. Almost didn`t watch after first half of first episode. Turned it back on last night and changed my mine. Watched 5 episodes last night and finished today. Thought it was great.

Never read the books, so zero expectations. I couldn’t get through the first episode. Mama always said I was different…….

Yep. What about the Islamic Center for Peace

Can't recommend the series if you loved the book. Don't blame you if you do watch it though.

Also, whattha is the deal with the starling. Lol. I wanted to fast forward the Lucy parts. Sorry. This isn't what the book is about girls.

I finished it yesterday. It was ok, if it comes back for a second season I’ll probably watch it.

Good series. I read the book about 6 months ago, and I feel like it followed most things pretty closely. Big deviations discussed that bothered me.

                      1. The Secretary of Defense was not portrayed as the evil b**** she is in the book until maybe the very end, and I honestly don't understand why.

                      2. Katie Buranek is not Asian.

                      3. The guy that came after Reece and Katy in the car was a habeeb in the book, not a big bearded white guy.

                      4. I don't remember the FBI agent Tony Layum (sp?) having nearly as big of a part in the book as he does in the tv series. I honestly didn't remember his character at all in the book, but it's been a while since reading.

Watched it due to i was out of stuff to watch. I kind of got tired of all the flashbacks to the same exact thing the bird scene. It was better than some of the other junk.

Have not read the book but so far through E5 think it’s very well done.
