My friend and new to the Green Screen, “ArcherA”needs our help. Archer is twenty five years old, has cerebral palsy and lives his days in a power wheelchair (which does not slow him down). Archer is a remarkable young man who graduated from UT in Austin (I don’t hold that against him) and lives with his single mother who is also his primary caregiver. He is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman and has recently obtained his hunter education certification and is looking forward to coming to our ranch to harvest a buck. He spends a great deal of time in the outdoors, but finds it difficult to do all he wants with his current wheelchair. As such, a group of us, including the Brenham Elks Lodge, are helping him raise $18,200 to purchase an all terrain track wheelchair, the Action Trackchair. This chair allows him to traverse hills, uneven, wet, sandy, rocky terrain with it's snowmobile-like treads.
In 2015 Archer founded Archer's Challenge which challenges people to spend their day in a manual wheelchair. Through The Challenge he has raised over a million dollars which he has given back to those in the disability community. I think it is time we gave something back to Archer.
If you are able to help Archer purchase his track chair, donations may be made to The Elks Lodge of Brenham.
The donations may be sent to:
