I’ve seen it a couple times where the pigs own fat sealed the hole up. Found pigs the next day with the fatty tissue in the wound. The fat plugs the hole and stops the blood trail like turning off a faucet. No doubt Smart killed that sow. She just wasn’t in the mood for LDP’s.

I enjoyed the video even without the recovery

If I was needing an instructional video I would use this one for shot placement. Looks like a dead heart shot to me and should’ve been a 2fer. Only explanation that I have is aliens gotta eat too. Great editing.

                  Interesting video. Thanks for sharing.

I hit a doe in a similar spot one time. Arrow was soaked and looked great. I didn't figure she would make it 50 yards. Sign was good to start, went to nothing, then got good again towards the end of the trail, hundreds of yards later. Unfortunately, I got beat to her and never could do a full autopsy. My best guess on the deer is the arrow nicked, but slid right behind the heart. She couldn't have carried a perfect heart shot far.

Maybe something similar happened with that pig. Weird stuff happens in bowhunting.

Wow I would say that there was a great shot and a dead pig within 50 yards

Looks like the slump is over.

Did you use your Grim Reaper broad head on these pigs?

Good video Smart, don’t know how that sow wasn’t dead within 40 yards. That little one is a great eater anyway.

There is no way that pig is not dead. Im shocked that you did not find it. Where else were you supposed to aim. Thanks for the education videos.

And I agree fellas. I was shocked. I figured it was going to be a quick track and would be back before day light.
