Yep i have one just like it.About 100 dollar stand and was a good one until it started looking like that one it was time to spend another hundred dollars and get a safe new one.

Thanks guys for the offers and advice. This stand must be older than I thought and replacement parts are apparently not available. I can set him up with a stand. Was mainly seeing if that stand could be made to work mainly as a lesson and courtesy to the guy who gave it to him. Appreciate the advice!

Pretty sure that is a gorilla climber. I have one that looks just like that one. I believe I got it back in 2010.
