Stay safe brother. The best advice I can give is to obviously stay hydrated but along with embracing the suck, keep those tops on. I know it's hot but it will keep you cool once the body starts sweating.

These “new” improved hot weather uniforms are the best thing I’ve worn and yes definitely keep the tops on.

New and improved? When did they come out with the new ones?

Not sure and I'm using "new" as relative but the "IHWU" feels like wearing pajamas. To me they are dramatically different than the weight of the issue ones. Issued "regular" ones and the FRACU ones are going in the back of the closet...unless I'm in the field at Ft. Hood in January sleeping on the ground in freezing temps and then I'd probably wear the old ones lol. They've also completely re-engineered the combat shirt and pants and they seem great...but realistically...not planning on wearing them even outside the wire when I'm at those places.
