    Another septic thread

I have a very old house with a septic (no idea how it was built so assume tank and drain field)... Plumbing sometimes is slow like the shower backs up.
Someone may have just flushed something they shouldn't have.

Wondering if this product works. Figure if they are not total scams I'd try it.

If I were you, I would spend $700 and get it pumped out and tanks inspected. Then if problem persist, youll know for certain something is in the line. Get it cleaned out and you will have piece in mind that everything is good to go.

This likely isnt the answer you were looking for, but after cleaning up a backed up septic from inside our house three times, this is what I would do. For us, the problem was a tree root that broke the drain line between the house and first tank and was catching all paper and causing it to backup.

I may do this. Just never done it before. I assume they run a camera and figure everything out from there?

How would one get Thrift into the septic? It says to not flush. I have no idea where the tank is located.

This or green pig septic tank shock .
My drain field is 50+ years old and was slow, green pig ate the old hard sludge up after a couple of doses spaced 6-9 months apart after I pumped out and had inspected by honey wagon
Green pig is poured into the toilet ( 1 gallon does my 1800 gallon tank)

I am having risers added and my system pumped on Monday. House is 11 years old, bought it in Jan 2020 so no idea if it has been pumped before. Better safe than sorry in my opioion.

I would consider adding this once a week too to keep solids broken down.

Throw two or three dead stinky chickens in your septic tank. The more maggots the better.

Have it pumped and if you’re still having issues hook this up to your pressure washer I just did this last week after a $1800 quote to jet lines.

I get my two tankes pumped and sprayed clean and pumped again. $200.00 and change.

There is NO product to address what Texas A&M concluded to be the #1 cause of permanent septic failure. The synthetic clothing fibers from your washer that form with biomat to make a plastic/rubber like material that clogs everything up for good. Look at your dryer lint filter, yeah that stuff !
