Toyota was not willing to lean the motor out and have direct injection on V8.

Jumped ship and bought a 3.0 duramax GMC, averages 25 mpg mix and will hit 30 plus on highway.

People can say what they want about those Titans. But, both of mine had over 250,000 miles on them and were still going strong when sold. I have never gotten that out of a Chevy, GMC, or Ford. Maybe this new Ford will come close.

After 20K miles my 2021 Ram with E torque Hemi is getting 19-22 on the highway. hand calculated average just around town and to work is running 17.5 to 19

Thanks, Brian. Honestly, I haven't really paid attention to what Toyota is doing except that I couldn't help notice what they did to the 2022 model. I looked at a Forerunner a couple years ago before buying the RV but the equipment didn't compare.

They have served us well for quite a few years now.

Thought this to myself many times. I get better mpg in my V8 Silverado than we do in the misses 4Runner. But I did have to replace my transmission in the Chevy lol

That's great, Bill! I've heard the Nissan's do not get very good mileage, but you seem to be doing ok.

FWIW, I put a new 6.0L in my Chevy 2500 and I'm getting 16 mph.

I asked if this was hand calculated because some gas mileage gauges are accurate, but some are off by quite a bit. I had a 2017 Ram 1500 that was typically off 1-1.5 mpg from what it showed. My wife’s current VW Atlas tends to be about 1-2 mpg off. Some vehicles though, they can be off by several, like our old 2007 Ram 3500 would be off by 5-7 mpg!! The only way to know for sure is to hand calculate it when you fill it up.

Same here. My Sorento is always about 1.5 mpg off.

Mine won’t do that! It hovers around 17-18 if mostly hwy.

Not bad at all considering that engine doesn't have all the cylinder deactivation bs.

Wow. My 2016 Pro-4x would not break 15 and 2017 SL 4x4 tops around 18.

My dad’s AT4 6.2 gets about that on the highway. It’s the best I’ve seen out of a Nissan

Like I said early, it may have to do with the 9 speed transmission on the 2021. I owned a '16 and '18 model Pro4X and 18 was the best I ever saw on the '18. It was a 7 speed transmission.

yep, I image some are accurate and some aren't. Mine happens to be very accurate. I can tell within probably 50 cents what a fill up will cost, well maybe a bit more now that gas has doubled, haven't filled up lately. 14 Ram.

I get about 18.5 overall. 15 miles to town, 15 miles back then around town to various stops. Don't go to town unless I have multiple stops/needs.
