    Agree with LowFence. Dont compromise your safety over a few dollars. If its an issue than stay on the ground or box blind, but please dont become a statistic.

      no need to go the kit route...way overpriced and give you crap you wont need.

      get some good carabiners from amazon

      ropes and friction hitches from https://wesspur.com/

      You can probably get carabiners at wespur but i ahvent checked the prices

      get a run of the mill saddle until you have 2/3 seasons in it

      shop tree arborist places and not hunting websites. no need to pay 2-3 times for a camo version. ALL of the tree saddle folks are just adopting a skill set that has been around for a long time
