    Ragin Blaze

Love this stuff. Made bronzed salmon the other night. But whenever I break it out the wife and I both sneeze.
She calls it “the cajun sneeze-oning.”

Hope we’re not the only ones! Hope this made someone laugh or smile.

Love me some ragin blaze seasoning. Made crawfish this wknd and have not used anything but his stuff in the last 5 years. All newcomers say it’s the best they’ve ever had! Thanks Blake!

You’re suppose to ingest it, not inhale it.

I have four different Cajun seasonings and they all make me do that. Pepper does too.

Funny, I put it on a fresh bag of microwave popcorn the other night, and the steam from the bag and spices sent my nose to insane town. Sneezing, crying, but dang that popcorn was awesome!

Man good to know we aren’t the only one! I almost asked about it on here before but was afraid it was just me and I would get a bunch of smart replies…

I really like the seasoning and want to use it more because it is low sodium and I have high blood pressure. But as soon as I open it me and my wife both start coughing or sneezing like crazy. Even if I pinch my nose or try not to breathe….can’t stop it. Made the mistake of cooking some squash on the stove top with it the other day…wife and baby almost ran me out of the house.

That being said, have not noticed any negative effects from eating it, and I still cook with it outside. I guess it’s not an allergy thing just irritating to the lungs and eyes because of the pepper.

Thx for the replies and honest feedback. I appreciate it … I’m well aware of the sneezing factor for some people. This is due to the microscopic ultra fine blend of smoked chipotle powder and anti caking powder. I’ve spoken to my blender and can stop the sneezing effect. To do this I would have to eliminate the anti-caking powder. Result would be the cans of Ragin Blaze seasoning would turn into a hard clump or rock within 90 days. Honestly it’s a catch 22. I choose the longevity and extra shelf life since a can of RB will last most people 6-9 months. Looking into a more coarse blend of chipotle powder but my blender is having a hard time finding a source.

I’ll keep everyone posted if the ingredients change as it took me 3 years to perfect that blend. RB itself is 14 yrs old , I’ve accepted the fact that if it isn’t broken don’t fix it. Peoples sense of taste is very strong and can easily tell the difference when any food item is changed. Thx again my brothers & sistas

If anyone is not 100% satisfied , PM and I’ll gladly refund your purchase. I want my customers to be happy.

One option I experimented with is mixing the powder with water for a liquid Cajun seasoning. I stored it in a Mason jar and used a spoon to season my food. It worked, there was no sneezing, but texture was wet vs. Dry.

Wasn’t complaining at all! Love the seasoning, love the flavor, love that I don’t have to pound it on the counter for an hour to get it to pour.

Just used some tonight on our asparagus. I've accidentally inhaled it a time or two, it's a nose burn for sure. Great stuff for sure though.

None of this is a bad reflection on your product, you don’t need to change nothing. It’s fine the way it is. Besides, I sneeze from many seasonings and just accept it as part of my cooking process.
I’ve watched some cooking videos where everyone on the show holds their noses when they get out the Tony’s. Lol.
