    Weird error code 2014 Silverado

Randomly it dies at a light or drive through,
Then a error code says roll down drivers window, then it will restart l
Last year I had the grounds replaced.
    Dr google says,
    1. Bad ground
    2. Bad battery
3, BCM low voltage code ?

    Anyone had this problem?

Bad time to be thrown code on a holiday weekend

Anyone get the “Action Required - Open Then Close Driver Window” error on your dash? I posted about this error and a few others that I was getting a few months ago. Dealership looked at the truck, had it for two days, and ended up replacing the battery. Fixed the other errors I was getting but I ...

GM vehicles for years have had problems with the battery cable terminals, that bolt to the battery, getting corrosion on them. Often the corrosion they get, is like a flux that you would use when brazing. If you have ever used brass rod and flux, to braze something. Then you have seen the clear hard coating the flux forms over the area you brazed. That's what some of the corrosion is like I find on GM battery terminals. It has to be chipped and or scraped with something like a knife. I usually pull the rubber covers back and then push them down the cable, and then thoroughly clean the terminals. Then you can also get some green corrosion, typical on copper, which most of the battery terminals should be copper.

Also scraping the posts on the battery, with something like a knife, where the battery terminals make contact, is also a good idea.

Those GM side posts are supposed to be the better way, but I have seen some stuff on those style terminals, that I have never seen on a top post battery. Top posts, usually get thick white powdery corrosion. GM side posts, have their own unique corrosion or mess they get, mainly on the ground terminal.

I checked the terminals and everything looks brand new , zero corrosion or lose connection, maybe the battery? Or corrosion out of site ! The main ground is less than a year old, maybe it was not installed correctly?

If both headlights are working it could be drawing too much amperage.

If you have left the windows down in the past and rain water gets on the window controller module terminals inside the door you will get some corrosion there too and potential error codes.

Love my GMC but the weird codes?!?! My truck would shut off and then 20 min. later would start up and run fine - dealership read the codes and says it's either your ignition switch or your this and your that and your....wanted $6K to change everything so I paid the online mech. $45 to tell me that he can't tell me how he knows but that it was my crankshaft sensor. So I paid the dealership almost $1k to change it. Solved the prob but I got a notice from progressive saying my truck had a recall for crankshaft sensor. So I go back to the dealer wanting my money back. They say give us your vin # and we'll check. Then they say no my sensor came from the Indiana plant. The Indiana plant was closed when my truck was made and the sensor says hecho in Mexico (They gave me the broken sensor when they did the repair). Showed them and they said too bad so sad their computer don't lie, basically tried to say I was pulling something! Eventhough the recall was sent to me from my vin#

Lord I hate dealing with a service department
I dropped it for a scan and the new service guy needs me to return to the original service department to get print out of work already done last year, I would think it would be in a computer report with my vin # ?

                              Serinty now
