My baby girl graduated high school last night. So hard to believe the time has gone by so fast, from the first month in a half in the NIC U (she was 6 weeks premature) until she walked that stage last night seems like a blur.
Her high school softball team came up just short losing 4-2 in the state semi final game a week ago. Hayley had an incredible senior season in the circle going 23-3 with a 1.784 ERA and 205 strike outs and she did pretty well at the plate hitting .379 on the season.
She walked away with 1st team all district, All tournament, All State Honorable mention and team MVP honors.
To say I’m proud is an understatement.
All those practices, sacrificed weekends at softball parks all across Texas and other states over the last 14 years culminated in an almost perfect season.
She signed with Alvin community College where she will continue her education and softball career (full scholarship so Dad is very [emoji2]) and she will be close enough for us to go and support her and watch games.
My greatest accomplishment so far!
