I might’ve reevaluated if I had to load 2000 lbs myself by hand, but fortunately that’s never been the case.
I had the Bucees in Luling do that for me a few weeks ago.
I only needed 30 so they pulled 10 off.
Glad they are allowing their employees to do it, sign says self load only. Wouldn't/couldn't accept a tip either- said it wasn't allowed. Corn was clean.

The plywood trick makes sense. I'll have to remember that.

I tried to pull this deal off at McCoy's on the way, but their $9.99 corn price online turned into $12.50ish a bag one I got there. Pass.

Convenience stores use it as a lost leader to get you in the door and sell you something they make 50% margin on simple as that same with ice...plus feed stores are owned by hard working folks that have to make a living rather than give stuff away in hopes of them buying something else while there!

The Bucees in Eagle Lake will not carry corn this year according to Mngt..
They have sold corn since that store was built..

The reason I was given is because they were afraid it would just set there in the way because of the "big price increase that is coming".... ($13-$14 per bag)
I sure hope that is not the case...

I paid 9.65 last week in Bastrop. They have brown bags now that are from a farm in Elgin Tx. The corn kernels are 1/2 the size of the green bags they had before. Reminded me of Jiffy Pop.
