Absolutely worried! I just know that protecting and serving is something he really feels called to do. It’s definitely a thankless job maybe now more than ever. I just pray for his safety and the safety of all who serve. God bless all the brave men and women out there protecting us.

I honestly couldn't talk my son into the profession and be able to sleep at nite. It's changed so much in the small 22 years I've done it. Maybe it'll come around, but I can't wait to retire and get away from it. It's not the work but the people you deal with now days.

If he ever needs an ear to listen have him call me. There isn't much I haven't seen. First lesson is leave work at work ESPECIALLY if he's got a girl at home. Working into the wee hours chasing people thru the dark and keeping reports caught up almost cost me a marriage.

Our own hard heads kept us from divorce and I'm lucky to have survived those couple years

A listened to a guy the other day. He said he had a coin he carried everyday. He picked it up when he left and dropped it in a bowl at the front door when he got home

        That coin was work.
